After a long campaign, the result has come out and Boris has beaten Ken to win a second term as Mayor of London.
At least, that’s what Paddy Power has concluded. The bookmakers paid out £20,000 this morning on bets for the incumbent, despite the fact the polls have not yet opened.
The news was good as well for those who backed Brian Paddick - all 12 of them - as Paddy refunded their bets in full.
According to Paddy 94% of bets placed in the last 24 hours were for Boris. It’s not all good news for Mr Johnson however, rival bookmakers Ladbrokes have said they have not taken any bets on the Conservatives winning a London Assembly Constituency.
