John Mann, the MP who accused Osborne of being out of touch with ordinary people has welcomed the U-turn on the pasty tax levy. He said "this issue left George Osborne and David Cameron exposed. The budget did nothing for ordinary people and the pasty tax levy epitomised this. This U-turn is only route possible for the pair".
Mann also invited Osborne and Cameron to spend Easter weekend with him in a static caravan on the east Lincolnshire coast to highlight the elitism of the recent budget and further expose how out of touch they are.
John Mann will now be pursuing a further U-turn on the complex rules governing draw down pensions after two of constituents loose 60 per cent of their pensions due to Osborne's bungling.
