Latest from Dot Commons
The hot weather has cheered the House of Commons staff no end, but it has also enlivened some of the Palace of Westminster's less welcome residents. Mice have been spotted all over the place, including in the Terrace Cafe and the Sports and Social bar. Perhaps it is time for the Lords to have their regular debate about whether the Palace should get a cat to catch the mice. The official response to feline requests is that there is a qualified pest controller, who monitors and controls pests on the Parliamentary estate using "humane and effective methods".
