Foreign Secretary William Hague statement on Venezuelan election result. Commenting on the re-election of President Chavez, the Foreign Secretary, William Hague said:

"I congratulate the people of Venezuela and President Chavez on their successful elections, and welcome the high turnout and the peaceful atmosphere on election day. We look forward to working with the Venezuelan Government to strengthen the bilateral relationship, and to further engagement with the people of Venezuela."
