Politics, Gangnam Stylee

Many politicos stateside will be watching the Biden-Ryan TV debate tonight to see if the young Republican can outbox and outfox the Vice Prez.

But there's another live American TV debate that should be worth clocking too: Republican Rob McKenna takes on Dem Jay Inslee in the Washington Governor race in Seattle.

Why should an obscure gubernatorial race interest us? Well, everyone will be looking to see if McKenna repeats this Gangnam Dance (the video of which is now going viral Stateside since release yesterday):

McKenna's wife had the better moves (watch her join him on stage on the right), while the man himself won the Sad Dad of the Year award.

Mrs McKenna summed up the views of cringing children across the globe by tweeting:

"12 yr-old son just offered me $10 never to do this again"

She then pointed out her son wasn't alone:

"Oldest daughter @Madelein_McK claims this now-viral video takes parental embarrassment to a whole new level. Victory is mine!"

Full marks to Mrs McKenna when she says "I don't do boring!"

But will it be enough to help her hubby to regain his recently lost lead in the polls? Having been in the lead for a year, he's been trailing for several weeks. Will Jay Inslee resist the temptation tonight (the debate is 9pm Pacific Central Time) to gently jibe his opponent's dance moves...or will they both dance?

It can only be a matter of time before Boris 'accidentally' gets caught on his own video, doing the Gangnam. He joked this week he'd done it with Dave, but so far the only pictorial evidence is THIS.

Be briefed for £1.50 a week...
