Labour is today launching a new website as part of a campaign to highlight the true scale of David Cameron and George Osborne’s economic failure.

The website, at www.thepriceoftoryfailure.com, highlights real stories from Britain’s strivers about how they have been affected by an out of touch Government who are hitting working people – people they will never meet and whose lives they will never understand. Last week the Chancellor said it’s the shirkers, the people with the curtains drawn who are affected by his cut to tax credits and benefits. But it turns out it isn’t true. It’s actually a tax on strivers - the majority of people hit are working people. At the same time, they are cutting taxes for millionaires while millions are struggling to make ends meet.

Labour’s campaign draws attention to the plight of Britain’s strivers, presenting how, in their own words, they are being hit hard by a Government which is making the wrong choices and standing up for the wrong people.
