    George Osborne will announce plans to enshrine balancing the UK’s budget in law, the Financial Times reports. The Chancellor is set to unveil the new measures in next week’s Autumn Statement, when he will propose a vote on the introduction of a formal target to eliminate the deficit by 2017/18.
