£1.25bn carrier contracts bill

Liam Fox has made clear that tough decisions need to be made regarding the defence budget. Contracts worth £1.25bn have already been awarded to go towards building two aircraft carriers, although the project - worth £5bn overall - may not be completed. The figures were revealed in answer to a parliamentary question by a Labour MP, Thomas Docherty.
