Speaking at an event yesterday, the Tory MP revealed his approval of Mr Miliband's distinction between 'producer' and 'predator' companies. He also criticised Chancellor George Osborne for his anti-environmental rhetoric.
Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith will see his property fall victim to a crackdown on stamp duty avoidance announced by the Chancellor in his Budget on Wednesday. Mr Goldsmith owns a £7m, 543-acre Devon estate through a Cayman Islands company called Ranger Investments and also owns a £7.7m home in Richmond bought in 2007 via a Cayman Islands-based company called Holmead Investments Ltd. On Wednesday, Mr Osborne said he believed those who evaded or avoided tax were "morally repugnant".
Those in the Government intent on protecting the environment need more support from green groups to push through policies in the face of strong opposition, Zac Goldsmith has said. Writing in the Guardian, the Conservative MP says the environment movement "lacks seriousness and strategy" and needs to be given more help and support by those outside of Parliament.

Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith will not be reported to police over allegations relating to his campaign spending in the run up to the General Election, the Electoral Commission has confirmed. The Commission said whilst it might be the case that Mr Goldsmith under-reported his spending in the final weeks, his overall spending came in well under the limit.
