Mirror backs David Miliband

The Daily Mirror has endorsed David Miliband for the Labour leadership, as have 11 of the 21 frontbench shadow cabinet ministers. Geoffrey Robinson, a supporter of Ed Balls' leadership campaign, has also revealed that his second preference vote will go to the shadow foreign secretary.

A close ally to Gordon Brown believes the prime minister could work with the Liberal Democrats in the event of a hung parliament. Former Treasury minister Geoffrey Robinson also said he believes the Lib Dems would prefer to work with Labour than the Conservatives.
