MPs to investigate racism in sport

MPs are to investigate the issue of racism in sport, after a number of Premiership footballers were recently embroiled in race rows. Conservative MP Damian Collins said incidents involving England captain John Terry, and Liverpool's Luis Suarez, had "reignited concerns about racism within the game". The Commons Culture, Media and Sport Committee will hear evidence on 6 March.


MPs to hold inquiry on racism

MPs will hold an inquiry into racism in sport following a number of recent allegations involving top footballers.

The Culture, Media and Sport Committee is due decide its terms of reference next week, and will hear evidence on 6 March.

Conservative MP Damian Collins said that the recent allegations had "reignited concerns about racism in the game".
