Stories involving Tom Harris

Lamont new Scottish Labour leader

Johann Lamont has been elected as the new leader of the Scottish Labour Party. Ms Lamont beat MSP Ken Macintosh and MP Tom Harris to replace Iain Gray, who announced he would step down after the SNP's landslide election victories in May. In her acceptance speech she said that it was "not Scotland who had let Labour down, but Labour who let Scotland down".

Labour MP Tom Harris has said he has resigned from the political blogosphere because he believes he is "out of step" with the views of leader Ed Miliband, the Times reports.

Harris hints at Scottish leadership bid

Tom Harris has suggested he may run for the leadership of the Labour party in Scotland. The Glasgow South MP told BBC Radio Scotland he would be interested in standing for the post "if the party would be interested in having me".
