Alastair Campbell’s partner Fiona Miller is in line to replace Glenda Jackson as Labour’s next candidate for the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency, according to the Daily Mail. A Labour insider told the newspaper: “If Fiona gets a seat and Labour get back into power, she’d be in the Cabinet as Education Secretary within a year.” Ms Miller, a former journalist, founded the Local Schools Network to promote state education. Ms Jackson won the seat by just 42 votes at the 2010 General Elections.
