In emails leaked to the Mail on Sunday, Col Bob Stewart launches a furious attack on Conservative Whip Michael Fabricant for asking his Commons staff to campaign in the area, saying the party has "absolutely no chance" of winning.
Labour MP Denis MacShane and Conservative MP Michael Fabricant have written to the Daily Telegraph criticising the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority. Mr MacShane said he had "thousands of pounds of unpaid bills since May 6 as the new system simply does not work".
