Labour MP Adrian Bailey, who chairs the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee, has called for new laws to be introduced to force witnesses to appear before select committees. The committee was snubbed by Irene Rosenfeld, the chief executive of Kraft, when she refused to answer questions about her company’s proposed takeover of Cadbury.
