The Leveson Inquiry is set to investigate evidence that private detectives bought access to data, including criminal record checks on a number of senior Labour politicians. Rosie Winterton has been elected unopposed as Labour’s new chief whip after Nick Brown said he could not continue in his position. Ed Miliband said: "Rosie is highly respected both in and out of Westminster and I have no doubt that she will excel in her new role".
