Society is "blind" to "flagrant" discrimination against men and should end "'soft' feminist bigotry," Conservative MP Dominic Raab has warned. In an article for PoliticsHome, he claimed men were getting a "raw deal" despite tough equality legislation, saying "it is almost taboo for a man to question the assertion that the rapidly dwindling pay gap is the result of discrimination, rather than genuine choice." His comments came as the Government was accused of wasting money on Equality Act initiatives which force organisations to prove their policies are not discriminatory. Labour have said the article shows "the Tories are out of touch". Raab defended his piece saying 'equality cuts both ways'.
