Equality chief praises Theresa May
The chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission has praised the work of Home Secretary Theresa May, saying that she "fights hard" for women's rights. Trevor Philips compared Ms May to Labour's Deputy Leader Harriet Harman, whom many call the "patron saint of equality". He said: “Equality is an issue that can transcend politics, and we should judge people not on their political label but what they are doing and what they deliver.”
