Govt to offer parenting vouchers
The Government is to issue new parents with £100 vouchers for parenting classes to help stop the disintegration of family discipline which it blames for last year's summer riots.
The vouchers will be issued by Boots to ensure as wide a take-up as possible and will offer new parents up to 10 two-hour classes in how to bring up their children.
Shadow Public Health Minister Diane Abbott has told The Sun she wants action to protect children from junk food marketing and warned that the rise of "McParenting" was putting the life chances of children at risk.
