Japan approves nuclear reactor restarts
Japan has announced that it will restart two nuclear reactors, the first to go back on line since all the country's plants were shut down following the Fukushima crisis. Despite mass public opposition, Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda announced the move to operate reactors at the Ohi plant in the west of the country. Trade Minister Yukio Edano told a news conference that the level of safety at the plant had been "considerably enhanced".
