PM welcomes BMW investment
Car manufacturer BMW will invest £250m in its UK plants over the next three years, the company has announced.
The money - which comes on top of a £500m investment announced last June - will be used to increase Mini production at its factories in Birmingham, Oxford and Swindon.
David Cameron has welcomed the announcement, saying he was "delighted" with the "significant" investment.
"This demonstrates confidence in British manufacturing, provides a fantastic boost for the workforce, and shows we are making real progress in rebalancing the economy," the Prime Minister said.
