Romney 'hurt US abroad' - Democrats
Mitt Romney's performance on his visit to the UK hurt the United States abroad, a senior US Democratic politician has said.
The Senate majority leader Harry Reid said: "It's not good for us as a country – it's not good for him – but as a country to have somebody that's nominated by one of the principal parties to go over and insult everybody."
The row comes after Mr Romney appeared to question London's ability to succesfully host the Olympic games, and was met by hostile headlines and reactions from politicians, including Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt.
