Former minister advises coup leader
Former Labour cabinet minister Baroness Scotland has been paid £75,000 to advise the leader of an alleged coup in the Maldives who is accused of torture and repression. The details emerged in leaked documents to the Daily Mail. Conservative MP John Glen claimed it was "outrageous" that a former British attorney-general was advising the regime, and said Baroness Scotland "should hang her head in shame".
