Warning over PCC elections

Warning over PCC elections
The number of people of people turning out to vote in November's police and crime commissioner elections is predicted to be 18.5% – the lowest turnout for a national election in British history.

The Electoral Reform Society, which released the figures, based them on average turnout for local council elections over the past 20 years.

The organisation's chief executive Katie Ghose described the Government's failure to actively get citizens interested as a “shambles”.
