Gay marriage won't harm Coalition – poll
Most people are in favour of allowing gay marriage, a poll of voters has suggested.

A majority of 42% said they were in favour of the idea, according to a poll undertaken by Lord Ashcroft polls, whilst 31% said they were against it.

The remaining voters said they had "no opinion on this issue one way or the other", with the results strongly suggesting the introduction of measures to allow same-sex marriage would not harm David Cameron's administration.
