Hollande backs Greece in Euro
Greece must remain in the eurozone, French President Francois Hollande has said.
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras had asked French President Francois Hollande for more time to implement austerity measures.
The request came in talks held in Paris today, a day after negotiations with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.
Mr Hollande said "Europe has to do what it has to do" once a report on the subject by the Troika had been finalised.
Mrs Merkel said she wanted Greece to stick with its current plan, but Mr Samaras asked for more "breathing space" to implement harsh austerity cuts, designed to bring down the country's deficit.
