Harman: Salmond's BBC plan unrealistic
Alex Salmond's plans for public broadcasting in a post-independence Scotland are unrealistic, Harriet Harman has said.
The Scottish First Minister had said Scottish people were being short-changed by existing arrangements, and pledged to replace the BBC with a new state broadcaster if Scotland votes yes to independence.
Ms Harman said Mr Salmond's plans would require Scotland to take on a number of expenses and overheads that he had not outlined funding for, and argued that "looking into the details of what he is saying, it might very much unravel."
