Liberal Democrat activists are hoping to target George Osborne by opposing further spending cuts at the party’s autumn conference, the Social Liberal Forum have revealed.
Activists will aim to table motions that urge the party’s leadership to reiterate its support for a mansion tax and its opposition to any welfare reforms that imply greater compulsion for claimants. They are also expected to condemn the Chancellor’s approach to green economics.
