The annual party political conferences have become so outmoded that they symbolise the disconnection between politics and civil society, according to a Westminster based policy hub.
A paper Policy Review Intelligence says they are at risk of terminal decline and even their more recently adopted role as a fringe led "festival of ideas" is collapsing. It urged parties to modernise their party conferences.
