Justine Greening will tell the Prime Minister she wants to do “more for less” with the foreign aid budget, a source close to the new International Development Secretary has revealed.
She is understood to have doubts about David Cameron’s commitment to increase foreign aid by 34% to more than £12bn.
The source said Ms Greening had a reputation for getting value for money whilst serving as Transport Secretary and said there was “no reason why she can’t do more for less with foreign aid."
