David Cameron has been labelled a ditherer by his own MPs last night over delaying his decision on airport expansion for three years.
Yesterday the Government announced an independent commission to review new runways in the South East, which will publish its recommendations in the summer of 2015.
But Conservative MP Mark Field called on the Prime Minister to make a decision sooner. He said: “David Cameron said he wanted to stop the dithering, so he should know we need to get resolution to this before 2015."
Tim Yeo, chairman of the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee agreed: “The needs of the country are very urgent and cannot wait that long.”
