No 10 plays down Army strike plans
Downing Street has played down reports that David Cameron is planning to use the army as 'strikebreakers' during public sector walkouts after their success covering for G4S at the Olympics.
The Times reports the Prime Minister is considering drafting in troops as cover for prison officers, firefighters, immigration workers, fuel tanker drivers, and even train and Tube drivers.
The Prime Minister's Offical Spokesman said Mr Cameron had not spoken to the Army about the issue. He added: "Of course we have contingency plans in place. Those plans have not changed."
