Sir Ming slams Cable over Miliband texts
Former Lib Dem leader Sir Menzies Campbell has accused Vince Cable of "pick and mix" politics over his communications with leading Labour figures.

In an exclusive interview with The House magazine, Sir Menzies said texts exchanged between the Business Secretary and Ed Miliband could aggravate "disaffected" Tory backbenchers and undermine the Coalition.

"The success of this coalition depends upon everyone who participates in it being a full subscriber," he said.

"I don’t think it helps a partnership to suggest that you may already be looking for another partner."

Speaking on Daybreak this morning, Dr Cable said he spoke with people from across the political spectrum, insisting he doesn't feel "remotely embarrassed" about it.
