PM backs BAE merger
David Cameron is set to back the €38bn merger of BAE Systems and EADS, after being reassured the deal would benefit the British defence industry and the economy. The Prime Minister is “broadly supportive”, according to the Financial Times, and is prepared to champion the deal with US president Barack Obama, French president Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the coming days.
