Four dead in Benghazi militia clashes
At least four people have been killed in the Libyan city of Benghazi, after fierce fighting broke out as military police and protesters took over several militia bases. The clashes occurred following a day of protests by tens of thousands of citizens demanding an end to the rule of armed groups. Earlier in the evening crowds had stormed the headquarters of the Islamist Ansar al-Sharia brigade, whose members are accused of carrying out this month's attack on the US consulate which left Ambassador Chris Stephens and three other diplomats dead.
