Khan warns Clegg over secret courts
Shadow Justice Secretary Sadiq Khan has written to Nick Clegg warning him of the Government's "misleading" comments over plans in introduce secret courts. The Lib Dem leader has agreed to support proposals to allow courts to sit in private to hear sensitive intelligence material, after securing a series of concessions from former justice secretary Ken Clarke. However Mr Khan has insisted Labour will not support the plans in their current form, claiming one of the Lib Dems key demands - that judges, not ministers, will decide when the special courts can be used - has not been met.
