Nearly 3000 students rely on 'Mickey Mouse' subjects in order to gain five GCSEs, according to The Sun. Six in ten pupils sat 'the easy courses' thinking it would help them into university and jobs. Education Secretary Michael Gove will axe 3,100 vocational subjects from exam tables after a report called them “dead end”.
