Islam film suspect held

The man said to be behind the film which has sparked violent protests in the Muslim world has been held by police in California.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is being investigated for violating probation terms after he was released from prison in 2011 for bank fraud. Mr Nakoula's probation stopped him from using the internet for five years following his conviction in 2010.

Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, the Pakistani minister who has offered $100,000 for the killing of Mr Nakoula, told the Today programme he had not been asked to resign and would not withdraw his offer.
