Older women bear brunt of cuts
Women over 50 are bearing the brunt of the Government's cuts, new research suggests.

employment amongst women aged 50-64 has seen a 31% rise to 142,000, compared with an overall increase in all unemployed people over 16 of 4.2% to 2.6m since the Coalition Government formed, the Labour Party's research found.
Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper told the Guardian: "A toxic combination of sexism and ageism is causing problems for this generation."
The news follows Stephen Twigg's assertion that Michael Gove's education policies would create massive centralisation and affect educational standards.
