Turkey approves Syria action
Turkey's parliament has authorised government troops to launch cross-border operations into Syria if required.
Turkish forces have renewed firing at targets within Syria, after five people, including three children, were killed by shelling from across the border on Wednesday.
Several Syrian troops have been killed, according to reports.
The decision to authorise the deployment of troops was passed by 320 votes to 129, following an emergency session in Ankara.
Foreign Secretary William Hague has condemned Syria's attack an "outrageous act".
"We express our strong solidarity with Turkey. But we don’t want to see a continuing escalation of this incident," he told Sky News.
