Report highlights NHS ward round 'neglect'
A report by NHS staff has warned ward rounds are being neglected in overstretched hospitals amid the revelation that Jeremy Hunt may slash NHS funding after the next general election.
The report, by the Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Nursing, says patients are being caused "anxiety and distress", and that increasingly busy hospital staff are left unable to give proper attention to patients or organise care properly.
Health Secretary Mr Hunt told the Spectator that "uncertainty in the economic outlook" meant he could not guarantee a rise in funding in real terms over the next Parliament.
