Top Tories attack Miliband

Top Tories attack Miliband
Ed Miliband lacks the economic credibility to represent the whole country, top Tory politicians have claimed.

In his speech to the Conservative party conference Grant Shapps, the Conservative chairman, said that Ed Miliband's conference speech contained "nothing on growth, nothing on tackling the deficit".

In another speech, Foreign Secretary William Hague said Mr Miliband had no right to call himself a one nation politician because he had failed to reform his party.

The attacks come as polling conducted for the Sunday Times have shown a big increase in Ed Miliband's job approval rating, which is now at minus nine, up from minus 29 last week.

The Labour conference gave Mr Miliband a big boost on many fronts, but he still trails David Cameron on personal approval.
