Hammond to rename Territorial Army
Philip Hammond has announced his intention to rename the Territorial Army to something that suggests “more like full integration” with the main force.
In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, the Defence Secretary Philip Hammond warns that as the number of reservists increases by 15,000, the new part-time force will be a "serious commitment".
"We’re not interested in reservists who want to play at being a soldier. It will be a serious commitment. We’re looking for people who will join up and turn out when we need them."
