Cam and Clegg united on Europe
David Cameron and Nick Clegg yesterday united in demanding spending restraint in the upcoming EU budget. Downing Street confirmed that even though the Prime Minister was prepared to "negotiate" on the budget, he would still be willing to wield a veto. Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Nick Clegg chose to speak entirely in Dutch at a recent Cabinet Office meeting with European Council president Herman Van Rompuy, sparking speculation that he might have been trying to evade a Downing Street 'spy'.
