Landowners told to destroy ash trees
A total of 29 landowners have been ordered to cut down and dispose of over 100,000 ash trees, which have been infected by dieback disease. The landowners have been told to do this entirely at their own expense and face no hope of compensation. Paul Sykes, the manager of a 2000 acre estate in West Yorkshire said that the plan "isn't fair".
