Retailers seek help from Osborne
The British Retail Consortium has written to the Chancellor outlining six measures he can take in the upcoming Autumn Statement that can help retailers. In an interview with Central Lobby, BRC director Tom Ironside said there needed to be “robust measures” – including a freeze on business rates, a postponement of the fuel duty rise, and a national insurance holiday – to protect jobs.
