West Coast civil servant 'political scapegoat'
A civil servant suspended over the awarding of the West Coast Mainline franchise claims she has been "unfairly scapegoated for political reasons".

In a court hearing challenging the suspension, Kate Mingay, who chaired the committee that awarded the contract to First Group, said she had been "unfairly singled out" by the Department for Transport.
