New gas strategy
30 new gas-fired power stations are set to be approved by the Chancellor as well as possible tax breaks for the shale gas sector.

Reports suggest that George Osborne will set out a gas strategy in the Autumn Statement that commits to 26 gigawatts of new gas-fired stations and an Office for Unconventional Gas to simplify regulation of shale gas.
