UK aims to be 'best in the world' for science
The £600m investment announced in the Autumn Statement will help make Britain "the best place in the world to do science", David Willetts has claimed. In an interview with the Times, the Science Minister outlined some of the projects to receive funding including £100m for life sciences - and said government spending on science over the last year had already encouraged private investors to put £1bn into British scientific research.
