Tory support draining to UKIP
The Conservatives have lost a sixth of their support in the last two months as disaffected eurosceptics turn to UKIP. A new Populus poll shows the Conservatives at 29% of the vote - the lowest since David Cameron became leader in 2005 - while UKIP stands at 10%. The poll, published in The Times, also found the number of people who think Britain is “better off out” of Europe now stands at 34 per cent, up three points.
